Summer time at the Ursta residence means a lot of grilling outdoors. We grill all kinds of things from steak and chicken to peppers and mushrooms. We even have some grilling recipes for fruit! Now, when you do a lot of grilling, you need to make sure you have a great meat marinade.
Today I am going to share a great recipe that I use. I like it on steak, chicken, venison, and vegetables. You can combine the meat and vegetables in a bag with the marinade and then use it to brush the vegetables while they are on the grill.
Meat Marinade Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 Chopped Onion
- 3-4 Cloves of Garlic (I like extra garlic!)
- 1/4 cup of Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/4 cup of Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp of Dijon Mustard
- 1/4 cup of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
- 1 tsp of Salt
- 1/2 tsp of Ground Black Pepper
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Place around 1 to 1-1/2 pounds of meat (if you have more meat than that, double the recipe) in a plastic freezer bag and and top of the marinade mixture. Let the meat marinate for at least 2 hours. For best results, marinate overnight. I also throw vegetables in there such as peppers, zucchini, squash, mushrooms, and onions.
Now all you have to do it take it out of the fridge the next day, grill, and enjoy!
