I just returned from a weekend getaway we hosted for some of the top coaches in our organizations. For the past few months I have been planning a dream retreat to reward the coaches in my organization who continually go above and beyond to help others achieve their fitness and business goals.
The weekend consisted of top trainings, relaxation, and team building among like-minded women. It was an opportunity to not only network but to learn from others. Our career as coaches means the majority of our time we spend creating relationships through the computer screen. We create and establish virtual accountability groups to help people achieve their health andfitness goals and team trainings through Facebook. Having an opportunity to brainstorm, strategize and just connect has been the best part of the whole week!
Here’s What the Week Looked Like:
On Wednesday Mike and I flew down to Florida to finalize the plans before the team arrived. This is the first year that Mike joined me! He was in charge of the meals and all the cocktails!
We finalized the agenda, planning out the menu, put together our coach gifts, and spent time catching up and working together on how we could make this top notch training for our coaches!

We woke up early on Thursday with a killer workout in our hotel gym before packing up the car and heading out! We took a 20 minute drive from our hotel to our mansion in Orlando.

When we arrived at our destination, we pulled up to the beautiful mansion and our jaws dropped. Excited to be gifting this trip to our coaches and the anticipation of the retreat FINALLY arriving we immediately began unpacking the filled car.
The house was so far beyond our expectations. The rooms were immaculate- spa qualities bathrooms in each of the 13 themed bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a to-die-for view from the rooftop! We could see the Epcot fireworks in the distance!

We quickly set up the house with a little touch of sparkle, assigning the girls to a room and giving each coach a EMPOWER shirt and wine glass with a word of empowerment.

The next day was filled with pool time and photo shoots before we kicked off the training event. A professional hair stylist and makeup artist got to work making each of us glamorous for our business ads. Seeing her work come to life was incredible and seeing the confidence in my coaches was pretty incredible too. It’s so easy as coaches to spend the day in sweat pants and tanks, but today was different. Each girl brought to the camera her own definition of beauty.

We kicked off the trainings that afternoon with a small breakout groups to help coaches clarify their vision for their business. It created a mindset for success. As many of the women in the group do not have a background in marketing, we were setting the stage to create an actual strategy that could be implemented as soon as we got home.

The next morning, we kicked off the day with a workout led by certified instructors! My coach, Kirsten, led an intense Insanity sunrise workout.

Cim Carver and Craig Colyar from our corporate sales team, kicked off the training on Saturday talking about goal setting, training new coaches, and motivating your team in the fourth quarter.

| I was thrilled to talk about investing back into your business! |
I talked about wise investments strategies for your business. I went back and forth about my topic knowing that many coaches are used to hearing me talk about storytelling and motivation. I decided to make a change and discuss the importance of investing back into your business as well as the addressing the question: how much? I’ve found that personal development has led to substantial growth!
Other topics included, Facebook storytelling, Instagram growth, strategic business growth placement and social media marketing.

That evening the kitchen was turned into a Mexican restaurant as the in house chefs, Mike and Matt prepared a dinner fit for royalty. An entire taco bar with all of the fixings for a fiesta!even homemade guacamole! 80 avocados total! We talked and brainstormed fireside into the wee hours of the morning

When we awoke Sunday morning we completed the training with social media tips and strategies and getting our new coaches started on the right foot. We then spent the day in Epcot for the Wine and Food Festival!

It’s sometimes crazy to think about how this little teacher from Pittsburgh, PA became an accidental entrepreneur, a lover of social media marketing, and develop a love for coaching others in business. It is a dream come true to give this to my coaches and to see them take the ideas, implement them into their businesses and grow from the opportunity they’ve been given.
It was not just a vacation.
- It was a meeting of the minds.
- It was about growth.
- It was about leadership.
- It was about surrounding yourself with those who inspire you, those who believe in you.
