Shift Shop Transformations

That’s a wrap! Mike and I just completed our first round of The Shift Shop and travel aside,  I am pretty sure we nailed this workout! I shared our transformation pictures below!

There are absolutely no buts about it. The program works! Pretty sure we’ve found a soulmate workout that challenges us just as much mentally as it does physically.  We’ve loved the ramp up style of workouts and there was absolutely no boredom !

A Little Bit of Background:
• Shift Shop is for anyone that wants to ramp up their fitness fast. In three short weeks you progress from basic 25 minute workouts to advanced 45 minute routines – all while honing your nutrition for optimal results.
• It’s great for all fitness levels. If you have a lot of weight to lose, Shift Shop will be your on-ramp to fitness. If you’ve spent some time away from your regular routine, Chris will lead through a fitness tune-up. It’s perfect for anyone who wants an easy commitment to jump-start their regimen.

Mike and I set out to lose weight, tone up and ultimately create some healthy habits that we had fallen out of. When I started the program I was excited but I was nervous about following the meal plan while I was traveling, but having a plan in place made it much easier!

So to get you started, I wanted to share some of my top tips.

1.  Have the right equipment. 
Every other workout is a strength based workout. So having teh right weights was key! I used 8, 10, 15 during the first part of the week but found myself using up to 25s but the time I ended the program!  I felt myself getting stronger throughout the workouts, so I loved the idea of challenging myself to level up each week!

2.Schedule Your Workouts
Just like you schedule a doctor’s appointment for your health, schedule your workouts. Look at your calendar for the week and determine the best possible time to workout when nothing in life will interfere. For me, my workouts take place at 5:30 am before my kids wake up.  I love too starting off my day burning off calories and setting myself up for success, but everyone is different.
I quickly learned that my best workouts personally happened first thing in the morning with limited distraction! I get up, drink my energize and get my workout going.

3. Prep it ahead!
Identify the meal plan that’s perfect for you. Using an inventory of questions, based on your current weight, your goals, and your lifestyle, you will identify how many containers to consume, daily! Then spend one afternoon each week prepping your meals and veggies. Mike and I would portion them out so that they were easy to grab and go! We also made sure to shop simply for the essentials. We didn’t keep a lot of snacks in our house, and the snacks we did keep were things our kids liked but didn’t really tempt us.

Here’s the truth. The Shift Shop is going to push you.  There are mornings that I don’t want to get up. There are mornings that I would much rather sleep in than sweat.  But anything worth doing well is worthy of sacrifices.

Are your children picky eaters?
