Repeat after me…
“I have enough. I do enough. I am enough.”

#bethatgirl Retreat with the Knockout Brigade |
This is the mantra we created for the weekend getaway in Destin, Fl for some of the top coaches in our organizations. For the past few months I have been planning a dream retreat to reward the coaches in my organization who continually go above and beyond to help others achieve their fitness and business goals.
|
Our Destin Retreat Home |
Here’s what our week looked like.
On Wednesday my coach Melanie and I flew into Gulf, MS to finalize plans for our retreat with Val. The three of us selected the top coaches in our own networks for the retreat. On Wednesday we finalized the agenda, put together our coach gifts, and spent time catching up and working together on how we could make this top notch training for our coaches!
|
Adding the Final Touches! |
We woke up early on Thursday with a killer workout in Val’s garage before packing up the car and heading out! We drove from Gulf Mississippi to Destin, Florida stopping once at Costco to load the car with groceries!
|
Let the Training Begin! |
When we arrived in Destin we pulled up to the beautiful house and our jaws dropped. Excited to be gifting this trip to our coaches and the anticipation of the retreat FINALLY arriving we immediately began unpacking the filled car. The house was so far beyond our expectations. The rooms were immaculate- spa qualities bathrooms in each of the seven rooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a to die for view, we smiled as we took it all in.
|
PiYo by the Pool! |
For three years, I have worked hard to GIVE this to my coaches. How blessed am I? And the Opportunity to Give this to them FINALLY arrived!
|
Our Emerging Leaders! |
We quickly set up the house with a little touch of sparkle, assigning the girls to a room and giving each a copy of Be That Girl by Alex Johnson and a customized tank top. The book supported everything we aimed to achieve through the weekend- empowerment and visualization!
|
Our Office is Anywhere! |
As each girl arrived, they were greeted with a cold beverage, a big hug, and their gifts. We chatted before kicking it off. We spent time that evening getting to know one another and learning more about our WHY for building the business.
|
Doing what we Love! |
The next day was filled with beach time and photo shoots before we kicked off the event. Elizabeth Craig, award winning photographer schedule 32 photo shoots throughout the day. A professional hair stylist and makeup artist got to work making each of us glamorous for our business ads. Seeing her work come to life was incredible and seeing the confidence in my coaches was pretty incredible too. It’s so easy as coaches to spend the day in sweat pants and tanks, but today was different. Each girl brought to the camera her own definition of beauty. Each picture shared a deeper story, a manta. We were bringing to life “that girl.”
We kicked off the trainings that evening with a small breakout group assignment to really focus on our marketing strategies. It created a mindset for success. As many of the women in the group do not have a background in marketing, we were setting the stage to create an actual strategy that could be implemented as soon as we got home. Cim Carver, our Beachbody corporate training sponsor joined us that evening to kick off the trainings.
|
Social Media 101 |
The next morning, we kicked off the day with an option of three different workouts lead by certified instructors who were there for the training! PiYo, Insanity, and Cize were a few of the options we could select for a killer workout. There is nothing more powerful than movement to get you in a positive frame of mind!
|
Still a Teacher. Different Classroom |
Cim Carver kicked off the training on Saturday talking about goal setting, training new coaches, and motivating your team in the fourth quarter.
Val did training on confidence, Melanie presented on creating a monthly marketing plan, and my training was about overcoming obstacles. The entire day was filled with reflection, strategy and growth for a successful fourth quarter. Our minds were filled with excitement about we could grow our businesses and what we could take back to our teams.
That evening the kitchen was turned into a Mexican restaurant as the in house chef, Matt Mitro, prepared a dinner fit for royalty. An entire taco bar with all of the fixings for a fiesta! We talked and brainstormed fireside into the wee hours of the morning.

House Chef Matt Making Dinner! |
When we awoke Sunday morning we completed the training with social media tips and strategies and getting our new coaches started on the right foot. We completed the day on the beach with relaxation and perhaps a little poolside nap.
|
My Training Topic |
My coaches left the training with their hearts full and a bigger purpose to inspire more people, to confidently believe they are destined for greatness, and to ring the trainings back to their own teams.
And as I sit here in the airport ready to take off, I think about how this little teacher from Pittsburgh, PA became an accidental entrepreneur, a lover of social media marketing, and a passionita for all things coaching. It is a dream come true to give this to my coaches and to see them take the ideas, implement them into their businesses and grow from the opportunity they’ve been given.
It was not just a vacation. It was a meeting of the minds. It was about growth. It was about leadership. It was about surrounding yourself with those who inspire you, those who believe in you.
|
Having fun with my Coaches! |
Coaching was just something that started as a hobby. It was something I did to keep myself accountable to achieving my own personal goals. It has turned into a career of helping others. It has allowed me to continue teaching to an audience of learners. It has allowed me the freedom to travel and to give comfortably to others. It isn’t something that firs one type. Coaching is for ANYONE who has a heart to help others and some hustle in their behind their goals.
I am successful as a coach because for three years I made a decision to believe I could make a positive impact on others. I believed that I could help people.
I would be honored to invite you to the Knockout Brigade and help you learn more but coaching. I am hosting a business opportunity call this Thursday evening at 9 PM EST and would love for you to join me.
