One of my favorite family recipes is the Ursta BBQ Burger. It’s a great alternative to your traditional burger on the grill. Because the weather didn’t look too promising for our Labor Day picnic, Mike and I decided to make BBQ Burgers but clean up our traditional recipe a little bit! Everyone loves this recipe, and now I don’t feel guilty when I go back for seconds! It may be a good idea to double the recipe; they make for AMAZING leftovers!
Burgers
2 LB Turkey Meat
Mike’s special oatcrumb mixture
2 TBL egg white
Sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1 TBL tomato paste (My mom gave me a great idea to portion this out by the tablespoon, wrap it in wax paper, and freeze what you don’t use.)
3 TBL Worsheshire Sauce
3 TBL Vinegar
1 1/2 TBL Truvua
1 large chopped onion
Make burger patties and place the burgers into a 9×13 inch pan. (I usually line with tin foil.) Spoon sauce mixture on top of the patties and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
Serve with sweet potato french fries and your favorite vegetable! Enjoy!
